It also appears on the Securities Commission Malaysia Investor Alert List with a 2024 entry, which is the single most important fact for a Malaysian reader to weigh.

Ultima Markets Malaysia — the short verdict

Ultima Markets has operated since 2016 and states it serves clients in 172 countries and regions, with 250+ CFD instruments, insurance cover through Willis Towers Watson stated up to US$1,000,000 per account, and membership of The Financial Commission. For a reader in Malaysia the offsetting fact is regulatory: the Securities Commission Malaysia lists Ultima Markets on its Investor Alert List with a 2024 entry reading “Carrying on unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in securities”, and the FCA-authorised group company (Ultima Markets UK Limited, reference 470325) is not the entity that onboards Malaysian clients: that is the offshore side of the group — Ultima Markets (Mauritius) Ltd (FSC licence GB 23201593) or Ultima Markets (Pty) Ltd (FSCA FSP No. 52497), with the client agreement naming which. All of it was read on the broker’s own pages on 15 September 2026. This site is independent, is not the broker, and its buttons open an account with FxPro instead. Background: what a CFD is, the Securities Commission Malaysia Investor Alert List and the FCA Register, where reference 470325 can be checked directly.

What this page is, and who is not on it

This is an independent review of Ultima Markets written for readers in Malaysia. It is not the broker's site, carries none of its forms and cannot open an account with it. Every condition below was read on the broker's own pages on 15 September 2026 and carries a source.

The button on every page opens an account with FxPro instead — a different broker, which accepts clients from Malaysia. That is the commercial arrangement behind this site, stated plainly rather than buried.

How that reading is done is written down rather than implied: the rules every page follows are on how this review is written, the source order and the correction route on sources, dates and corrections, and the site’s own status and funding on our status and how we are paid.

The five numbers that decide most of it

Fifty US dollars opens any of the four live tiers. One pip of spread on the Standard tier costs about 10 USD on a standard lot, against 5 USD of commission on the ECN tier with a raw spread on top. Leverage is listed up to 1:2000, which turns a 100,000-unit position into 50 units of locked margin. The ringgit rail takes deposits from 20 USD up to 50,000 MYR in a stated hour, and returns them from 40 USD up to 20,000 MYR per transaction over 2–5 working days.

Those five figures answer more questions than any adjective can. What they do not answer is the regulatory one, and in Malaysia that is the question that outranks them.

Regulatory position, stated plainly

The Securities Commission Malaysia lists Ultima Markets on its Investor Alert List with a 2024 entry whose remark reads “Carrying on unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in securities” (read on 15 September 2026). That is the entry itself, quoted rather than characterised.

A Malaysian client is onboarded by the group’s offshore companies — its own entity list names Ultima Markets (Mauritius) Ltd (FSC licence GB 23201593), Ultima Markets (Pty) Ltd (FSCA FSP No. 52497) and Ultima Markets EU OÜ (Estonian registry code 17134727, payment facilitation) — not by Ultima Markets UK Limited, whose FCA authorisation under reference 470325 can be checked on the FCA Register. The entity list was read on the broker’s own site on 15 September 2026. Which of them signs a given Malaysian account is named in the client agreement rather than on the broker’s public pages, and this site does not guess.

The broker’s own About page (read on 15 September 2026) states membership of The Financial Commission and insurance cover arranged through Willis Towers Watson with claims eligibility up to US$1,000,000 per account. Both are the broker’s private commercial arrangements, not a Malaysian statutory protection, and this site reproduces them as the broker’s own statements.

Where to read further on this site

Cost is unpacked on the EUR/USD spread page and translated into position size on lot size and the margin calculator. The terminals are compared on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.

The account process runs through how it works, how to open an account and login, and the entity question is answered on customer service.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ultima Markets licensed in Malaysia?
No. The Securities Commission Malaysia lists Ultima Markets on its Investor Alert List with a 2024 entry reading “Carrying on unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in securities”. Malaysian clients are onboarded by the group’s offshore companies — its own entity list names Ultima Markets (Mauritius) Ltd (FSC licence GB 23201593), Ultima Markets (Pty) Ltd (FSCA FSP No. 52497) and Ultima Markets EU OÜ (Estonian registry code 17134727, payment facilitation) — and not under a Malaysian licence, and not by the FCA-authorised UK company. Which of them signs a given Malaysian account is named in the client agreement rather than on the broker’s public pages, and this site does not guess.
What is the minimum to open an account with Ultima Markets?
50 USD on Standard, ECN, Standard Cent and ECN Cent. The cashier separately lists a 20 USD minimum on the Malaysia Pay rail, which is the transaction floor, not the account floor.
Can Malaysians fund an account in ringgit?
The broker’s cashier lists Malaysia Pay in MYR/USD with a stated 1 hour processing time, a 20 USD minimum and a 50,000 MYR maximum per deposit. Withdrawals on the same rail are listed at 2–5 working days with a 20,000 MYR cap per transaction.
Which entity holds a Malaysian client’s account?
Not the UK company. Ultima Markets UK Limited is FCA-authorised under reference 470325, but Malaysian clients are onboarded by the offshore side of the group — Ultima Markets (Mauritius) Ltd (FSC licence GB 23201593) or Ultima Markets (Pty) Ltd (FSCA FSP No. 52497) — which is why UK protections do not follow the account. The client agreement names the company; the public pages do not.
